Nest feathers. Regular readers of The Denver Post home and design coverage may remember Jodi Zippo. The interior designer and owner of BellaLu Home & Design (9595 E. County Line Road, Englewood, 303-367-8700, ) was one of the participants in the 2008 Wrap Star custom holiday gift-wrapping contest. Red sequins, black feathers, black globes and leopard-print felt topped Zippo’s glammed-out red velvet gift box, which was inspired by her favorite pair of shoes. Now weekend decorators can take advantage of Zippo’s easygoing, luxurious style while getting a great deal as BellaLu Home & Design is having a showroom floor clearance. Save up to 50 percent on fabrics, trims, window treatments, furniture and home accents; 20 percent on window treatments, hardware and bedding; and 15 percent on furniture reupholstery and slipcovers.
Shoe news. The Tamarac Square location of Baudines, which carries stylish, comfortable footwear, (7777 E. Hampden Ave., Denver, 303-751-5778) is quitting business. Everything has been discounted including the new spring collection. Even the fixtures are for sale, and shoppers can enter to win more than $3,500 in prizes.
Match point. Today is also the last day of business at the fitness shop Positive Strokes for Women (2500 E. Orchard Road, Unit B, Greenwood Village, 303-795-3650). The entire stock is marked down at least 50 percent, and store fixtures are priced to go.
Thoughtful threads. And today is the last day of the 2nd Anniversay Sale at Unity (1455 S. Pearl St., Denver, 720-570-5076, unityboutique.cam). All full-priced items are discounted 25 percent at this boutique specializing in eco-friendly fashions.
