A Pueblo water-purification company plans to add 100 jobs as it expands with financial help from the city. Gov. Bill Ritter, who attended the announcement Monday, said the company has about 30 employees.
The company, known simply as the Water Co., aims to sell its technology to operations that need to clean up discharged water to meet federal regulations.
The Pueblo City Council is considering giving the company an existing but unfinished building, a $1.4 million grant and a no-interest $1.4 million loan for five years.
Dan Centa of the Pueblo Economic Development Corp. said the company would have to return the building and repay the grant if it doesn’t meet job targets. The Associated Press
