COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—One man is hospitalized and police are investigating after he was shot in the face at a Colorado Springs residence.
The shooting occurred at a home in the 1500 block of Diana Lane at about 5:30 a.m. Monday.
Colorado Springs police Sgt. Tim Stankey says officers were told that a man had tried to steal a car, but was shot by one of the intended victims.
The 22-year-old man was taken to Memorial Hospital, where he underwent surgery.
Police Sgt. Jim Meyers says the man’s injuries are not life threatening.
