BOULDER — Convicted child abuser Alex Midyette has been charged with a felony bond violation and is scheduled for a May 8 preliminary hearing in that case.
Midyette appeared briefly Tuesday afternoon for a hearing in the courtroom of the Boulder County Jail, where he remains in lieu of $20 million bail.
His parents, J Nold and Kay Midyette, attended the hearing but declined to comment afterward.
Midyette, who is awaiting an April 20 sentencing for his conviction last month in the child-abuse death of his 11-week-old son, is accused of violating conditions of his previous bond by dating a day- care operator and hanging out with her children.
