NEW YORK—Police investigating the killing of a longtime radio reporter are poring over phone records and searching the apartment where he was found bound with duct tape and stabbed to death.

An autopsy found 47-year-old George Weber died of stab wounds to the head, neck, torso and arms. The medical examiner’s office on Monday ruled his death a homicide.

Police believe he was killed Friday. His body was found Sunday after Weber was reported missing by his boss.

Weber worked at New York’s WABC-AM for 12 years. He’d also worked at KIMN-AM, KOA-AM and KHOW-AM in Denver.

An NYPD spokesman says investigators are following up on a witness report that a person was seen pacing Friday night outside Weber’s Brooklyn apartment.

The person was later let into the building.
