Getting your player ready...
Imagine entering a race and finishing not seconds, or minutes, or even hours behind the winner. How about nearly a week? Leave it to a rookie musher to do that at the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Timothy Hunt of Marquette, Mich., finished Tuesday morning, the 52nd musher to arrive in Nome, Alaska. Sixty-seven mushers started the race March 8 near Anchorage. Lance Mackey won the race last Wednesday, and 15 mushers scratched or were withdrawn. Hunt, 43, completed the 1,100-mile race in 15 days, 14 hours and 6 minutes. At least no one can knock Hunt — and his hounds — for not finishing what he started. The Associated Press/Getty Images
