It has been more than a year since designer Isaac Mizrahi opted to part ways with Target, after a five-year collaboration with the discount retailer that, according to some reports, netted as much as $300 million a year in sales. Now, Target has launched the Designer Collaborations, which is a partnership between the retailer and well-established designers. The idea is that the designer will draw his or her inspiration from a collaborative partner or muse. The first designer is none other than London-born Alexander McQueen, whose McQ collection hit stores recently. The inspiration? British rock band the Duke Spirit, in particular lead singer Liela Moss. The McQ collection is a mix of feminine and edgy fabrics. The line ranges from $19.99 to $129.99 and includes seasonal staples such as skinny jeans, cuffed shorts, trench coats and many tops. It’s available through April 14.
