Police in Colorado Springs are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body in a home as a possible homicide.

Patrol officers were called at about 9:30 p.m. Monday to a home in the 2500 block of Scorpio Drive on a report of “suspicious circumstances,” police said in a media release.

Police talked with a “family member” at the home, entered the residence and found the deceased woman, identified as Florence Mina Miller-Weiler, 60.

Investigators believe Miller-Weiler’s death was not a “random act.”

“A suspect has been identified in the ongoing inquiry,” police said, but they did not release any information on the suspect.

The El Paso County Coroner’s Office is conducting an autopsy “to determine the cause and manner of the death,” police said.
