DELTA, Colo.—Bond has been set at $150,000 for a Delta man accused in the death of his 5-month-old daughter.
Judge Sandra Miller set the bond amount Wednesday for 20-year-old Daven Beck.
Beck was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree murder, child abuse resulting in death and child abuse in the Dec. 23 death of Cady Beck.
Police say Beck was home alone with Cady and her 2-year-old sister on Dec. 22 when he noticed Cady’s body was limp and took her to a pediatric clinic. The baby was later taken to a Delta hospital and then flown to an Aurora hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The affidavit says Cady suffered bruises and hemorrhaging in her brain caused by blunt trauma.
Beck’s attorney, Colleen Scissors, says the child had health problems. She says Beck is a good father and the allegations are false.
