The U.S. General Services Administration is considering funding $332 million worth of federal building improvements in Colorado, the Washington Business Journal reported Wednesday.
The effort, part of a $5.5 billion pot created by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for major construction and energy enhancements to government facilities nationwide, still must be approved by Congress.
The biggest share, $167 million, would help modernize the Byron Rogers Federal Building in Denver, under a “green building” program, according to the Journal.
Also on Wednesday, U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet’s office announced that more than $81 million under the stimulus plan is being freed up to help rural homeowners and farmers in Colorado.
