BOULDER, Colo.—Authorities say the two people found dead in a Boulder home were a divorced couple, and they were both shot to death.
Boulder County Coroner Tom Faure said Thursday the dead were 39-year-old Robert Bryant Oakley of Boulder and 30-year-old Katelin Rose Oakley of Golden.
The bodies were found Wednesday. Faure says the cause of death for both was a gunshot wound to the head. But he says a determination on the manner of death is pending further investigation.
Boulder police said Thursday evening that a handgun and a shotgun were found in the home. No other details were released.
Neighbors say Robert Oakley lived in the home with the couple’s two children. Police say two children who lived in the home were not present when the couple died and are safe. Police have not identified the children.
Katelin Oakley was an attorney. Neighbors say Robert Oakley drove a cab.
