The owner of JAN Massage has been charged with sexually assaulting two women who were seeking therapeutic massages at the Westminster business.
James Allen Narcy, 64, was charged with three felonies, including two counts of sexual assault/medical service and one count of sexual assault.
He also is charged with unlawful sexual contact, a misdemeanor.
Police began their investigation on March 20 when they went to the business at 8739 Sheridan Blvd. after a 20-year-old massage client said she had been assaulted by Narcy, the Jefferson County district attorney’s office said in a news release.
The woman told investigators that she and two of her friends had seen JAN Massage on Craigslist offering therapeutic massages.
She said neither of her friends experienced anything suspicious.
But she said that during her massage, she had to push Narcy’s hands away several times. When he became more aggressive, she said she was afraid to do anything further.
After the massage, she immediately told an employee of the business what had happened. The employee told the woman it was not the first time this had happened.
Westminster police were called, and Narcy was arrested.
During the investigation, officers located the second woman who claimed to have been touched inappropriately.
The district attorney’s office said Narcy has owned and operated JAN Massage for two years. Prior to that, the massage business operated under another name, and authorities believe Narcy worked there for three years.
Narcy has been released on a $10,000 bond.
