Greg Pankewicz scored a power-play goal in overtime to lift the Colorado Eagles to a 4-3 victory over Bossier-Shreveport in a Central Hockey League semifinal on Monday, sending the Eagles to the conference finals for the fourth time in the past five years.
Down 3-0 after the first period, Colorado scored four unanswered goals, two by Pankewicz and two by Ed McGrane.
The Eagles swept the Mudbugs in the best-of-seven series, the first playoff sweep for the Eagles in franchise history.
Colorado will face the Mississippi RiverKings in the Northern Conference finals.

The Track and Field Writers of America has created a new annual award for photography, named the Rich Clarkson Award, in honor of the former Denver Post photo editor and Sports Illustrated photographer. Denver Post Olympics writer John Meyer won TAFWA’s Jesse Abramson Award for track and field reporting last year.
