TEXAS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Fire broke out early Saturday in a home in southwestern Michigan, killing four children and critically injuring two people, authorities said.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that a 3-year-old girl and three boys — ages 4, 5 and 6 — were pronounced dead after the fire, which was reported about 7:45 a.m.
A 5-year-old boy and a 22-year-old woman were listed in critical condition, deputies said.
Nine other people in the house were treated and released.
