LONGMONT — The fourth man arrested in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old Longmont man last week told two friends he fatally stabbed Logan Sisson at a city park, according to a police report released this morning.
Raymond Palomino’s alleged account of an April 20 fight at Longmont’s Lanyon Park that led to Sisson’s stabbing death contradicts what his girlfriend, 19-year-old Mariena Amber Harris, told police. Harris, who is facing a second-degree murder charge in the case, told investigators that she was “primarily responsible” for Sisson’s death.
But in the police report released Tuesday, a witness said that Palomino, 25, told him he stabbed Sisson once in the chest after Sisson punched Harris in the face and tried to hit her over the head with an alcohol bottle during the party.
“I killed Logan last night,” Palomino is quoted as saying.
Sisson, who dragged himself to a nearby house to get help, died hours later at Longmont United Hospital.
Palomino was arrested Friday on suspicion of second-degree murder. He may also face a misdemeanor charge of child abuse for allegedly allowing his young son to be at a party where police said drugs were being used the night of the stabbing.
