The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office today named the man killed in a house fire in Arvada last week.

Dennis Mantas, 68, died in the blaze Thursday at his home in the 14300 block of West 70th Drive.

When firefighters arrived, they found Mantas’ wife, who has not been named by authorities, hanging from a second-story roof gutter before she dropped to the ground. She was not injured in the fall but had suffered burns, authorities said. She was treated at St. Anthony Central Hospital, according to the Arvada Fire Department.

Dennis Mantas was found dead on the second floor. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
