Authorities are investigating a body found in a burned vehicle in Rocky Mountain National Park this morning.

A park staff member found the vehicle near U.S. 34 and the Kawuneeche Visitor Center at about 7 a.m.

The case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Rocky Mountain National Park and the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, according to a spokeswoman for the National Parks Service.

No other details about the vehicle or the victim have been released.
