COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—An 82-year-old Colorado Springs man who was severely burned last month in a fire while working in his garage has died.

Herbert Shaver was working on an engine in his detached garage March 31 when the fire started. Investigators say fuel ignited the blaze.

A neighbor says Shaver appeared to have been burned on his face and most of this body.

The Gazette newspaper reports that Shaver died from his injuries last week at a Denver hospital.
