A man fired several bullets early this morning at a fleeing vehicle, including one that tore through the door of a car and struck a man in the leg, according to police.

Northglenn police are searching for the suspect in the attempted homicide, Sgt. Brandon Hipp said.

Witnesses saw two vehicles leave the area following the 1:18 a.m. shooting on the 2500 block of East 110th Pl., Hipp said.

The newer-model vehicles are described as a black Chevy Cavalier and a black Chevy Tahoe, he said.

Witnesses say an argument broke out and during the dispute a man pulled out a handgun and fired several shots.

The name of the victim has not been identified.
