Two-time Olympian Alan Culpepper and Boulder Road Runners founder Rich Castro are among seven runners chosen for the third class of inductees into the Colorado Running Hall of Fame.
Others include former elite marathoners Benji Durden, Kim Jones and Maureen Custy-Roben, former American half-marathon record holder Stan Mavis and race promoter Creigh Kelley.
They will be inducted May 13 at a reception at the Denver Athletic Club.
Organizers of the Colfax Marathon created the hall of fame in 2007. Previously inducted were Frank Shorter, Pat Porter, Joe Vigil, Colleen de Reuck, Lorraine Moller, Jon Sinclair, Ted Castaneda, Steve Bosley, Mark Plaatjes, Steve Jones, Arturo Barrios, Tony Sandoval, Ellen Hart and Melody Fairchild.
The Denver Post Colfax Marathon, half marathon and marathon relay will be held May 17.
