COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The Air Force Academy is giving away 500 tickets to its May 27 graduation, which features a speech by Vice President Joe Biden.
Tickets will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, 6 S. Tejon St., Suite 700.
The giveaway is the only way people without ties to the academy can gain access to the event.
The academy says a maximum of four tickets per person will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on Friday. The chamber won’t mail tickets or accept telephone reservations, and there will be no will-call.
About 1,050 cadets are expected to receive diplomas at the May 27 ceremony at Falcon Stadium. Spectators must arrive before 9 a.m. to pass through security and must stay until the ceremony ends at 1 p.m.
