There’s no argument whether Roger Clemens was one of the greatest pitchers of all time. But when it comes to defending his honor, the seven-time Cy Young winner hasn’t always made a great argument. Take his interview Tuesday with ESPN’s “Mike and Mike in the Morning.” Addressing allegations he’s used performance-enhancing drugs, Clemens said: “Our family has a history of heart conditions. My brother had a heart attack in his late 40s. My stepdad died of a heart attack. I mean, it would be suicidal.” It doesn’t take a Johnnie Cochran to punch holes through that defense.
