GREELEY, Colo.—A medical helicopter carrying a patient from Greeley to a hospital south of Denver was forced to make an emergency landing after a bird strike left a small hole in the front windshield.
KUSA-TV reports the helicopter was about two miles from Swedish Medical Center when the bird collided with the helicopter. None of the four people aboard the helicopter were injured.
The television station says the helicopter landed about 10 miles away at Centennial Airport at about 1:10 a.m. Sunday and the neurology patient was then driven to the hospital.
The helicopter has since been fixed.
