PAGE, Ariz. — A 37-year-old Colorado man drowned in Colorado River rapids after he was thrown from a raft. The National Park Service said Monday that Michael Gregory Don Carlos of Nederland was thrown from his raft and into the river’s rapids on Saturday in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
Don Carlos had been rafting the river with friends. His body was recovered at the accident site.
