MONTROSE, Colo.—Authorities are investigating whether alcohol contributed to a one-vehicle crash that sent nine people to a Montrose hospital.

The Colorado State Patrol says 20-year-old Jennifer Hahn was northbound in a 2004 Chevrolet pickup Saturday night when she drifted off the left side of the road and overcorrected.

The truck then spun across the road and went off the right side, hit several trees, went through a fence and rolled over. Five people were ejected.

All nine occupants were transported to Montrose Memorial Hospital. The Patrol says three people remained hospitalized Sunday with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash occurred about 9 miles south of U.S. 50 in Montrose County.

No other names have been released.
