COLORADO SPRINGS — A man accused of killing a 14-year-old Colorado Springs boy in a hit-and-run crash while driving drunk has pleaded guilty to all charges.

Michael E. Gibbs, 21, is set to be sentenced Aug. 10 for vehicular homicide and other charges in the death of Graham Johnson. According to court records, Gibbs did not get a plea deal and there is no agreement on a sentence in exchange for his pleading guilty on April 29 before 4th Judicial District Judge Robert L. Lowrey.

For vehicular homicide, the most serious charge Gibbs faced, the presumptive sentence ranges from probation to six years in prison.

Gibbs also pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and failure to report an accident.

The crash occurred on Feb. 23, 2008, in the 2800 block of Orion Drive.

Police said Gibbs was speeding in a 2004 Pontiac GTO when the car ran off the right side of the road toward the victim and a group of his friends. The car hit Graham Johnson, who died at the scene.
