DENVER—The highway to the summit of Colorado’s 14,264-foot Mount Evans has opened for the season.
Colorado 5 on Mount Evans was partially open Friday, but traffic could head to the summit Saturday morning. It is billed as North America’s highest paved highway.
Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park also has opened for the season. That road reaches more than 12,000 feet above sea level.
Both roads will stay open, weather permitting.
