Threatening clouds could be a fixture on Memorial Day across the Front Range, according to the National Weather Service office in Boulder.

The metro region has a 50 percent chance of rain today as slower-moving storms pass through, forecasters said. The best chances for rain are before 11 a.m.

Tuesday and Wednesday each have a 10 percent of rain with highs near 70 each day.

Clouds will move out of the metro region Thursday, except for sporadic afternoon thunderstorms, with high temperatures in the upper 70s every day through Sunday, according to the extended forecast.

The high country is even more likely to see rain this week, with chances at 60 percent for showers today, 50 percent Tuesday, and 40 percent Wednesday and Thursday in the central mountains.
