Neko Case returns to the Front Range with another solid new album, “Middle Cyclone,” but, let’s be honest: Fans of the singer-songwriter would pay to hear her belt out a parking ticket. Case has the most singular voice this side of the Mississippi, and her mix of stinging originals and well-chosen covers proves her grace and power. She plays tonight at Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder ($30-$42.50) and Saturday at the Gothic Theatre ($25-$30). With Joey Burns and John Convertino of Calexico.
Camera Obscura never forgets to throw Denver some love, including a Monday show at the Bluebird Theater. The Scottish indie-pop band, led by moon-faced heartbreaker Tracyanne Campbell, is touring behind its grower of an album “My Maudlin Career.” With Agent Ribbons. ($15.50-$18)
Leonard Cohen fans, take note: It won’t be cheap catching him at Red Rocks. A $50 ticket won’t even get you to row 60, and forget about the $250 passes for the first three rows. But since Cohen hasn’t toured the U.S. in 15 years, fans know it may be their last chance to see him at a venue this spectacular. Sharon Robinson and the Webb Sisters will back him at Tuesday’s show.
