COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A suspect is being held on $50,000 bail in connection with a shooting at a Colorado Springs apartment complex that critically injured a teenager.

Thirty-seven-year-old Timothy Barfoot is in the El Paso County jail on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder.

Police say Barfoot was in a unit of the Devonshire Apartment Complex with two other men late Friday when the victim broke one of the apartment’s windows.

Barfoot is suspected of firing shots from inside the apartment through the window, striking 19-year-old Christopher Manuel, who was outside.

Authorities say Manuel is hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

Barfoot was scheduled to appear in court Monday.
