CARBONDALE, Colo.—Carbondale police say 30 solar panels taken from the town’s recreation center were found on a flatbed truck parked at an Aspen residence.

Police Chief Gene Schilling says they have a suspect in the case but have not made an arrest. The panels are believed to be worth about $30,000.

Police say the panels were taken sometime during the Memorial Day weekend but no one noticed they were gone until a few days later because they were installed on a part of the recreation center’s roof that is hard to see.

Police say the serial numbers on the panels found in Aspen match the numbers from those that were at the recreation center.
