COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police have arrested a man on felony menacing charges after a 6-hour standoff with officers.
Police say 24-year-old Allen Howard Burks Jr. was arrested at about 6 a.m. Monday.
Burks is suspected of threatening two people with a knife outside a restaurant on Sunday night.
Officers say they went to Burks’ apartment after the incident was reported, but he refused to speak to them or come out for several hours.
Residents of nearby apartments were evacuated during the standoff.
