Getting your player ready...
The Phoenix Mercury is rising to become the first WNBA team to put a sponsor’s name on its jerseys.
The Mercury announced Monday a three-year deal with LifeLock, an identity theft protection company. “LifeLock” will replace the “Phoenix” and “Mercury” across the road and home uniforms, respectively. The team’s logo will appear above the “LifeLock” on the left side.
We can see the first interview with a Mercury player after a big victory, in true NASCAR-like fashion: “First, I’d like to thank LifeLock for keeping my identity safe, allowing me to focus and score 24 points and grab 10 rebounds.”
