PUEBLO, Colo.—A Pueblo jury has returned a not guilty verdict in the trial of a man charged in the shooting death of another man nearly a year ago.
Jurors on Tuesday acquitted 24-year-old David Roebuck on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery but convicted him of conspiracy to commit robbery.
He faces probation to six years in prison when he’s sentenced in July.
Roebuck was accused of acting with two other men in the June 4, 2008 robbery and killing of 41-year-old Eleuterio Gutierrez-Munoz.
Twenty-two-year-old Robert Pemberton pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and faces 35 years in prison. Thirty-nine-year-old Eric Dixon was granted immunity in exchange for his testimony.
Roebuck’s defense attorneys attacked Dixon’s credibility at trial.
