MONTROSE, Colo.—Police have accused a Montrose man of installing two-way mirrors that afforded views of an apartment shower and bedroom from a utility room.

Thirty-eight-year-old Darin Flora was issued a summons alleging attempted unlawful sexual contact. No phone listing could be found for Flora.

The Montrose Daily Press, citing the sheriff and court records, reported Thursday that Flora is a registered sex offender who pleaded guilty to a peeping-Tom charge after a 2003 arrest.

Tenants discovered the two-way mirrors last week. Police say Flora had access to the property and worked there, but they didn’t elaborate.

Property manager Ben Alexander said contract workers do maintenance for him and that he wouldn’t rehire anyone responsible for the mirrors.
