COMMERCE CITY, Colo.—Family members say a man who was shot to death in a Commerce City store was the owner, whose father had fought for the American-supported South Vietnamese.

Thirty-nine-year-old Dung Le was found wounded inside the Dollar Value Plus store Wednesday and died a short time later at a hospital. Police are offering a $1,500 reward for information.

Relatives told The Denver Post that Le’s soldier father fled Vietnam at the end of the war in the 1970s but the rest of the family stayed behind. They say Le came to the United States in 1991.

Relatives say Le was recently laid off as a design engineer and was working at the store every day, but was having trouble making the lease payments.
