GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—One person has been hospitalized after a house fire in Grand Junction.
Firefighters say the blaze broke out in a basement early Monday. They say the heat caused a water pipe to burst, which helped limit the spread of the fire.
The injured person’s name hasn’t been released. Firefighters say that person’s injuries are minor.
Two adults and two dogs lived at the house. Firefighters say smoke detectors alerted them to the danger.
Damage was estimated at $15,000. The cause hasn’t been released.
