TeleTech Government Solutions says it is employing 4,000 temporary workers to help with the digital television transition.
The subsidiary of Douglas County-based call- center operator TeleTech Holdings Inc. says the Federal Communications Commission selected it to handle calls to a national help line from people in nine states who might be having trouble with their digital TV converter boxes.
Friday is the nationally mandated deadline for TV stations to turn off their analog broadcasts and move to digital signals.
TeleTech Government Solutions will handle calls to the help line from Arizona, Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The Associated Press
