Emergency crews were investigating an apparent suicide and the possible release of hazardous chemicals at a Boulder hotel late Thursday.
Police responded to the Outlook Hotel and Suites at about 5 p.m. after a woman called police and said her 41-year-old son may have committed suicide. Police found the man dead on the bathroom floor as a result of an apparent suicide, according to police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley.
Officers also found a note on the bathroom door that read, “Dangerous chemicals. Call firefighters.” The officers quickly left the room and called a hazmat team to investigate.
Police likely won’t know the type or extent of the chemicals until today.
