A suspect in a fatal Denver hit-and-run was arrested Wednesday in Leadville, police said.
Travis J. Scott, 22, of Broomfield is being held at the Denver City Jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident involving a death, and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, among other charges, Denver police said in a media release.
Scott, driving a white 2000 Mazda sedan, was pulled over on a traffic stop, and Leadville officers recognized damage to his vehicle as consistent with an automobile/pedestrian accident, Denver police said.
Scott is suspected in the hit-and-run death of 30-year-old Amber Gomez. She was fatally struck Tuesday in the 1900 block of Sheridan Boulevard.
