Natural-gas and oil producer Bill Barrett Corp. said Monday it closed a $60 million deal on a leasehold in western Colorado.
The company said it closed the deal to acquire a 90 percent working interest in about 40,300 undeveloped leasehold acres in Cottonwood Gulch, located in the Piceance Basin. The acquisition is next to two of the most productive fields in the area, Bill Barrett said.
