Court hearings are scheduled to begin today for a man accused in the death of his young daughter.
The motions hearings for Aaron Thompson will be in Arapahoe County District Court in Centennial. Thompson was originally scheduled to stand trial this week, but the trial was pushed back to Aug. 3.
Authorities say Thompson is responsible for the death of his daughter, Aarone, who would have been 6 years old when Thompson reported her missing in 2005.
The girl’s body has not been found. Aurora police have said the girl might have been killed up to 18 months before Thompson reported her missing.
Among the charges against him are child abuse resulting in death; conspiracy to commit child abuse; accessory to a crime; false reporting to authorities; abuse of a corpse; concealing a death; and multiple counts of child abuse resulting in injury.
