The Rapids acquired forward Pat Noonan from the Columbus Crew today in exchange for Colorado’s first-round draft pick next year.
Noonan has 38 goals and 32 assists in 135 career Major League Soccer games. He has not scored in five games with the Crew this season.
Noonan won the MLS Cup with New England in 2007 and was named MVP of the team’s U.S. Open Cup championship victory. He played in 11 games with Aalesunds FK of the Norwegian Premier League last year before signing with Columbus on Aug. 6.
