DETROIT — Chrysler LLC won a 45-day extension to file lists of assets and debt that remain with the bankrupt company following this month’s sale to Fiat SpA, pushing the deadline to Aug. 13.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Arthur Gonzalez in Manhattan approved the extension Thursday. He also adjourned a hearing to consider whether Chrysler’s directors and officers should be protected against lawsuits, amid a probe by creditors into the automaker’s 1998 acquisition by Daimler-Benz AG and its 2007 sale to an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management LP.
