LONDON — The daughter of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher says her mother is recovering well from an operation on her arm and should be released from the hospital within days.
Carol Thatcher was quoted by Sky News television Tuesday as saying her mother was feeling “much better” after a successful operation to insert a pin in her broken arm. Thatcher told Sky that her mother was eating strawberries and cream.
Margaret Thatcher, 83, underwent surgery Friday after injuring herself in a fall at her London home.
