OMAHA, Neb.—New University of Nebraska at Omaha hockey coach Dean Blais (BLAZE) has hired Mike Hastings as associate head coach and Nick Fohr as an assistant.
Hastings returns to Omaha after spending one season as a University of Minnesota assistant. He had coached the Omaha Lancers junior team for 14 years, becoming the winningest coach in United States Hockey League history.
Fohr had been an assistant under former coach Mike Kemp the past two years. Fohr played for the Mavericks from 1998-2002.
