A residential treatment center staff member has been charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old client of the facility.

Matthew Crum, 31, today was charged with one count of sexual assault on a child, Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said.

According to the DA’s office, Crum worked at The Third Way Center, 9100 E. Lowry Boulevard in Denver.

The assault occured this spring.

The Third Way is a treatment center that specializes in caring for high-risk, homeless, mentally ill and disadvantaged youth.

Crum is currently in custody at the Denver County Jail where his bond has been set at $100,000.

He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Friday to be advised of the charge.
