DENVER—Prosecutors have charged a woman with first-degree murder in the death of a woman who was run over in a Burger King parking lot.
Prosecutors filed the charge against 26-year-old Nadine Nicole Montoya Thursday. She is being held without bail at the Denver County jail and will appear in court Monday to be advised of the charge against her.
She is accused of using her car to hit 49-year-old Lilian Verdonkschot after a confrontation at a Burger King drive-through on May 29. Verdonkschot died at a hospital hours later.
Police say Montoya fled the scene. She surrendered to police last week.
