A truck that lost control in southwest Denver this afternoon plowed into a pedestrian who was operating a food cart near West Kentucky Avenue, Denver Police said.
The food vendor is in critical condition at Denver Health Medical Center, said Denver Police Det. Sharon Avendaño.
Alcohol is not suspected as a cause in the crash at south Sheridan Boulevard at West Kentucky Avenue, Avendano said.
Officers are still investigating why the Dodge truck lost control as it was traveling south on Sheridan and crossed over the north lanes before hitting a pole, the pedestrian and the food cart.
The truck driver was also taken to the hospital, but his condition wasn’t available.
