LAS VEGAS—Interior Secretary Ken Salazar says the federal government will fast-track plans to build solar power generating facilities in six Western states.
Salazar says the government is setting aside 1,000 square miles of federal Bureau of Land Management property in Nevada, Arizona, California, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico to determine where solar power stations should be built.
